Our first dances were so so fun!! Nat and I practiced our first dance a few times because I normally lead and we didn’t want to do that on our big day. Ha! I also wanted her to practice twirling me since I was going to be a bit taller than her and wearing some significant heels! She did great and our first dance song was just about as lesbitronic as you can get – “Andy” by the Indigo Girls. It was a big lesbo wedding after all – we should dance to the Indigo Girls, right?? After Nat and I got our first dance out of the way I got to dance with my Dad to “Just The Way You Are” by Billy Joel. I have fond memories of listening to Billy Joel with my Dad while driving around in one of his classic cars. He twirled me like a pro thanks to a few tutorials by my wonderful step-mother. Nat and I decided that we wanted more than just the traditional first dance as a couple and father daughter dance – we were going to include my mom in it somehow. I got to dance 3 times that day which is great cause I love the spotlight! So, I decided to choreograph a simple little routine to a song that we both could shimmy to – “Sway With Me” by Rosemary Clooney. Nat recorded a short video of me dancing the routine and we sent it off to her. My mom and I got one practice in her hotel room the day before and I think that it was a crowd favorite. The first dances produced some great pics and be sure to spend some time choosing your song – make sure it means a lot to both of you and do something unexpected….it’ll create great memories for not only you, but also your guests.

GREAT pictures!!! You two are fantastic!!
