Christine and I met through mutual friends. We were dating for 2 years when Christine proposed to me during the blizzard of 2010. We plan on getting married in June at the Heurich House in Dupont Circle.
We moved from South Florida to Washington, DC in June of 2009. Being a Florida native, I was nervous about how cold the winters were going to be, so Christine, a Canadian native, assured me that Washington, DC definitely does NOT have snow during the winter. Fast forward to the blizzard of 2010 and lots of snowfall later (actually DCs largest snowfall since they kept records of snow)… Christine springs up out of bed on the first light snowy day with lots of leftover blizzard snow and excitedly packs a bag for our first snowman building. Since I had never built a snowman, I was pretty excited to go out and build one together. Images by The Blonde Photographer.
We walked to Meridian Hill Park and began building. She distracted me while she put the ring underneath the top-hat of the snowman. Then, she asked me to pose for the camera as she took some pictures of the snowman and me. Next, she told me to take off the hat of the snowman for the picture. I did, and discovered the ring! It was a day that we will always remember.

put us at ease. Some of our photos were
taken at Meridian Hill Park this spring-the same place we got engaged
at the winter before! For the other photos we just walked
around Adams Morgan, our neighborhood in DC, and stopped in special spots.
